My Chocolate Peanut Butter Dates are so good and the perfect healthy treat for after a long day of fasting. They take about 20 minutes to make and so are a complete no brainer.
Tips for making my Chocolate Peanut Butter Dates
- Wash your dates in a colander and dry them completely! Any water will interfere with the chocolate!
- Use high quality dark chocolate for an intense cocoa-ey flavour!
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, allow the chocolate to stand for 10 seconds in the microwave before removing and stirring, repeat two more times and your chocolate will be the perfect dipping consistency.
- Ensure you tap the excess chocolate off of your dates by tapping the fork gently against the side of the glass. Refer to my TikTok and Instagram for my video on exactly how I did this.
- Make sure you top your dipped dates with the flakey sea salt immediately and then pop up in the fridge to set for 15 minutes.
Method
- Begin by washing your dates thoroughly and dry them off with a paper towel
- Cut a small slit in the centre and remove the stone from the date. Repeat until you have pitted all the dates.
- Place 1 teaspoon of smooth peanut butter into each date and close gently. Set the dates onto a tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a glass melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, allow the chocolate to stand for 10 seconds in the microwave before removing and stirring, repeat two more times and your chocolate will be the perfect dipping consistency.
