Let’s make my Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread! It’s crispy, cheesy and super garlic-y. It’s also a 30 minute meal but tastes as though you were slaving in the kitchen for hours to make it. I promise you, your guests won’t know that you were able to rustle it up in such a short amount of time.
How to make the garlic butter?
Well it’s really very simple! Simply combine unsalted butter, minced garlic, finely chopped red chilli, roughly chopped parsley and salt. Spread this garlic butter on a good piece of ciabatta and top with copious amounts of mozzarella cheese. Optionally, you can add some chilli or truffle oil to really take this homemade cheesy garlic bread to the next level.
Tips For Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread
- Use room temperature butter or you’ll struggle to mix it well, simply leave it to soften on the counter overnight (ideally) or 2-3 hours before you start to cook.
- Ciabatta is the perfect bread for this recipe, it’s super airy with large air holes that are great for the garlic butter to melt and infuse into. Plus it’s crust is crisp and has a great crunch!
- If you have the time, roast your garlic head in the oven for 40 minutes before getting started and use that in the butter mix, the flavour intensifies so much and makes for the most epic homemade cheesy garlic bread!
