Shirazi Salad in my opinion is THE ultimate salad. I know that’s a bold claim but it tastes so good and pairs beautifully with just about everything. It’s a Persian Salad so make sure you give it a go and let me know what you think.
Ingredients
- 1 cucumber
- 3 medium tomatoes
- 1 large red onion or two small red onions
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 and a half teaspoons of dried mint
- salt to taste
How to make Shirazi Salad
- Begin by washing all the vegetables for the persian salad and allowing them to dry in a colander or using some kitchen towel.
- Finely dice the cucumber by cutting it lengthways into strips. Stack them and cut into small cubes. As shown in my video. Add the cucumber to a large salad bowl
- Repeat this with the tomatoes and finally the red onion. Add both to the salad bowl.
- Season with lemon juice, dried mint and a generous amount of salt.
- Toss to serve and enjoy!
