Greek Meatball Bowl

Ingredients

  • 250 g minced beef you can also use ground lamb or a mix of both
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • half a handful of fresh parsley chopped
  • half a handful of coriander chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • oil for shallow frying

Instructions

Prepare the Meatballs:

  • In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, garlic paste, garlic powder, cumin powder, smoked paprika, salt, chopped fresh parsley, coriander and tomato puree. Mix until well incorporated.
  • With wet hands, shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them a plate.

Cook the Meatballs

  • Preheat a pan with 3 tablespoons of oil on a medium heat.
  • Pan fry the meatballs for 6-7 minutes on each side, starting on a medium-high heat to brown them before lowering the heat after 4 minutes.

Assemble the Bowls:

  • Start by adding the salad ingredients: cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese and fresh parsley.
  • Optionally serve witth a side of potato wedges.
