Spicy potato wedges

Ingredients

  • 1 kg red potatoes
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Pre-heat your oven to 200°/390F
  • Wash your potatoes thoroughly in cold water and then pat dry. Slice your potatoes into wedges by slicing them in half, and then each half into three. This gives you 6 wedges per potato.
  • Transfer them to a pot with boiling water and boil for 5 minutes on a medium heat.
  • In a bowl combine your spices with the rapeseed oil.
  • Drain the potatoes and transfer them to 2 baking trays lined with parchment paper and make sure that wedges are well spaced.
  • Spoon your spicy oil onto the wedges and using your fingers rub make sure that the entire surface of each wedge is coated.
  • Bake the wedges for 25-35 minutes, flip them once halfway through. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of your wedges, so keep a close eye on them!
  • Remove from the oven and enjoy!
